PTSD Evaluations

Our clinic specializes in PTSD evaluations for individuals involved in legal matters—whether their case is currently in court, approaching court, or may potentially proceed to court. We serve clients who have experienced trauma such as car accidents, violent crimes, abusive relationships (including family or workplace abuse), sexual abuse, and domestic violence.

We are available to be retained as independent evaluators, providing objective and thorough assessments. In all our work, we strictly follow the Code of Ethics for Forensic Social Workers, ensuring impartiality, professionalism, and respect for the rights and dignity of all parties involved. Our evaluations are designed to support legal processes by accurately documenting the psychological impact of trauma on our clients, and can be used for both plaintiffs and defendants.

As part of our comprehensive services, we are prepared to address how an individual developed PTSD, the changes that have occurred in their life since its onset, and any emotional damages that may be relevant to their case. We are also equipped to provide insight into sentencing considerations when appropriate. Additionally, we are available to offer expert reports and/or testimony regarding the neurobiology of PTSD, including how PTSD can drastically influence behavior and decision-making. This specialized knowledge can be critical in helping courts understand the broader psychological and neurological effects of trauma.
