Litigation Consulting
The legal system often involves complex human dynamics that benefit from psychological insight.
As a forensic mental health professional, I provide litigation consulting to attorneys and clients in cases where mental health is a contributing factor. My role is to help legal teams better understand the psychological aspects of their case, offer feedback and recommendations, and assist in strategy development.
By bringing us onto a legal team, attorneys can confidently delegate substantial aspects of a case, knowing that our work will meet the highest standards. This enables lawyers to focus their time and mental energy on strategic decision-making. Clients can also feel confident that specialists are working hard to make their legal team as informed as possible.
Key services include:
Assisting attorneys to determine whether to emphasize mental health in a case, and to what extent.
Conducting preliminary mental health evaluations to guide legal strategy and anticipate issues that opposing counsel may raise.
Developing a treatment plan that judges and opposing counsel will find appropriate and satisfactory.
Making the arrangements for the client to participate in relevant mental health treatment.
Making appropriate escalation referrals when needed, drawing from a network of trusted forensic psychologists and psychiatrists.
Providing a report of the findings and other relevant information.
Assisting with the development of questions and identification of relevant psychological facts for witness testimony.
Reviewing reports for both mental health and child custody evaluations to identify flaws, inaccuracies, or other items useful for appealing judgements.

Trial Consulting
In high-stakes litigation, understanding how jurors perceive psychological, emotional, and interpersonal dynamics can make a significant difference in trial outcomes. As a mental health professional with specialized training in jury consulting, development of persuasive opening and closing statements, and witness questioning, I provide trial consulting services to attorneys seeking strategic insight during courtroom proceedings.
My trial consulting services include:
Assisting in the development of opening and closing statements that clearly and effectively frame psychological themes and emotional narratives.
Consulting on jury selection, including identifying potential biases and helping craft voir dire questions that uncover attitudes relevant to mental health or relational dynamics.
Analyzing case presentation from a juror’s perspective to enhance clarity, credibility, and emotional resonance.
Offering insight into witness preparation and courtroom demeanor, especially when psychological factors are central to testimony.
Helping attorneys anticipate how mental health issues, trauma, or complex family dynamics may be interpreted by jurors and advising on how to address those perceptions.
While I occasionally collaborate with larger legal teams, I primarily work with local attorneys and sole practitioners who are seeking personalized, accessible support in psychologically complex cases.
Trial consulting services are available in-person throughout metro Atlanta or remotely via Zoom statewide.

Witness Preparation Consulting
Effective testimony relies not only on facts but also on how those facts are communicated—verbally, nonverbally, and emotionally. As a professional with expertise in behavioral modification, emotional regulation strategies, courtroom demeanor, and communication coaching, we provide witness consulting services to help individuals prepare for testimony with clarity, confidence, and composure.
This service is particularly useful for clients who may be struggling with anxiety, trauma responses, or communication challenges that could affect how they are perceived in court.
Witness consulting is available in person throughout the metro Atlanta area, or statewide via Zoom.

Client Support Consulting
Legal matters—especially those involving family conflict, trauma, or personal loss—can trigger intense emotional reactions in clients. While attorneys focus on legal strategy, some clients need significant time to talk through their experiences, provide recent history or updates, share ideas or information they believe may be relevant to the case, and learn general stress management techniques. When this emotional need spills into frequent phone calls or lengthy meetings, it can quickly drain valuable time and complicate case management.
As a forensic mental health professional, I offer client support consulting to attorneys who have clients in high-stress, high-conflict, or emotionally charged situations. This service provides an outlet for clients to discuss their case, feel heard, and reduce the need for repeated - and perhaps emotional - contact with their legal counsel.
Usually, our rates are considerably lower than attorney hourly rates, which is often another motivating factor for the clients to use this service.
Note: This is service is not therapy. Unlike traditional psychotherapy, client support consulting is short-term, goal-directed, and case-specific. It is designed to support the legal process—not to diagnose or treat mental health conditions. Consulting focuses on helping clients feel heard, manage stress, gain clarity, and engage more effectively in their legal case. Because I am not acting as a treating provider, the content of our work is typically shielded from subpoena and does not create a clinical treatment record. If it is determined that therapy is a more appropriate course of action, however, I will be happy to discuss with the client and/or legal team.
