Treating Provider Services

Schedule a Consultation

I am available to be hired as a treating provider for individuals involved in legal proceedings where therapy is clinically indicated and where therapeutic findings may later be presented in court. This includes situations where the client is seeking or ordered to engage in treatment, and where the nature or progress of that treatment may become relevant in legal settings such as family court, criminal court, or civil litigation. My clinical work is evidence-based, trauma-informed, and guided by ethical and legal standards appropriate to the dual role of therapist and potential witness.

It is important to recognize that most therapists are not comfortable providing treatment in cases that may intersect with the legal system. Many will decline involvement once it becomes clear that therapy records, impressions, or progress may be scrutinized in court. This often leaves clients in a difficult position—needing care, but unable to find a provider who is both clinically competent and legally willing to engage with the judicial process. I understand the challenges of working at this intersection, and I provide clarity from the outset about the limits of confidentiality, the potential for testimony, and how documentation will be handled.

When I am hired as a treating provider in these contexts, I aim to support the client’s therapeutic goals while also maintaining professional awareness of the legal implications. My role remains that of a clinician first, but I am also prepared to provide written statements, attend court proceedings, or testify regarding treatment when appropriate. My goal is to offer clients high-quality care while ensuring that any necessary communication with the legal system is handled responsibly and professionally.
